The film will be screened as a Cannes Premiere Official Selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>THE END OF IT<\/em> features a stellar cast including BAFTA and Golden Globe\u2013nominated <strong>Rebecca Hall<\/strong> (<em>Peter Hujar\u2019s Day, Resurrection, Christine<\/em>), Golden Globe winner <strong>Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal<\/strong> (<em>Mozart in the Jungle, Coco, Y Tu Mam\u00e1 Tambi\u00e9n<\/em>), BAFTA-nominated <strong>Noomi Rapace<\/strong> (<em>Lamb, Prometheus, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo<\/em>), and Golden Globe\u2013nominated <strong>Beanie Feldstein<\/strong> (<em>Booksmart, Lady Bird, How to Build a Girl<\/em>). The supporting cast also features the Spanish actor <strong>David Verdaguer<\/strong>, a two-time Goya Award winner for <em>Verano 1993<\/em> and <em>Saben Aquell<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maria Mart\u00ednez Bayona directs and writes this futuristic story, set in a near tomorrow, offering a premise as original as it is unsettling. Filmed last year across various locations in the Canary Islands, the film presents a deep human look at the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>In a near-future world where ageing can be cured and death is now optional, Claire (Rebecca Hall) a former provocative artist approaching her 250<sup>th<\/sup> birthday, decides she\u2019s had enough &#8211; she wants to die. Her decision stirs conflicts with her husband (Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal), daughter (Noomi Rapace) and AI assistant (Beanie Feldstein), revealing the humorous complexity of their relationships. As Claire uses her impending death to reclaim\u202fher role as an artist, she is forced to face what it really means to die, to live, and the messy absurdity of it all.<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>THE END OF IT<\/em><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>is produced by Emilie Jouffroy and Kamilla Kristiane Hod\u00f8l for <strong>Elation Pictures<\/strong> (<em>The Damned<\/em>), Adri\u00e0 Mon\u00e9s Murlans for <strong>Fasten Films<\/strong> (<em>Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell<\/em>).
