WELCOME TO LAPLAND, directed by David Serrano and produced by THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO, has been selected to compete in the Official Selection of the 29th Málaga Film Festival.
The film, set to open in Spanish cinemas on April 1 through A Contracorriente Films, will be presented at the festival on Monday, March 9, with the attendance of its lead cast of Natalia Verbeke, Julián López, Ángela Cervantes, and Vebjørn Enger, alongside director David Serrano. Producer Javier Méndez will also attend the screening.

WELCOME TO LAPLAND, is directed by David Serrano (‘I’m Going to Have a Good Time’, ‘Días de fútbol’, for which he received a Goya nomination for Best New Director, and screenwriter of ‘The Other Side of the Bed’, winner of the Golden Biznaga for Best Feature Film at the Málaga Film Festival in 2002). The screenplay, written by Cristina Clemente and Marc Angelet, is based on an original idea developed by both writers together with Jordi Casanovas.

SYNOPSIS:
A Spanish family travels to Lapland to spend Christmas with their northern relatives in an idyllic setting.
