Synopsis
Nominated for the Goya Award for best documentary film, “Oswald, el falsificador” looks at the fascinating and temerarious story of Oswald Aulestia, a Catalan artist who was pursued by the FBI for years in collaboration with the Mossos d’Esquadra and Carabinieri in the so-called “Operation Artist”, an operation that aimed to imprison those responsible for one of the largest art forgery schemes in recent decades.
A story brimming with excess, scheming and deception about a unique figure that makes us reflect on truth and lies.
