Naranjito and me

“Naranjito and me, Around the world in a Citröen 2CV” is about the amazing trip that young Jorge Sierra takes in a Citröen 2CV around the world.
Fascinated after reading Jaques Séguéla book “La Terre en Rond” Jorge leaves his hometown, Coruña, to discover the world. In his backpack, little money, his camcorder and a bunch of questions with no answer. Ahead, the world and just the idea of travelling around it alone. As a partner of trip, an old orange 1979 Citröen 2CV tha he calls “Naranjito”.
Along 4 years, Jorge and Naranjito drove 120.000 kilometers, 56 countries and 4 continents. They travel alone with no technical help. No GPS, no laptop, not even a cell phone. They travel old style, using road maps.
His trip turns into lifestyle. Jorge and Naranjito feel like the road is their home. The uncertainty of where he will stay next night or what he will see next morning keeps trapping him on a way that his trip seems to have no end.
Together they drive through deserts, mountains, glaciers, islands and even countries at war. They will meet ancient cultures, visit legend monuments, lost cities and dream views; but their trip is something more: his baggage will be the coexistence and adventures with a countries list of anonymous characters.
Recorded by himself with no technical or human help, Jorge tells the camera his livings, thoughts, joys and fears. Along four years he will live a surprising evolution. He will learn new languages, mechanics, survival…
