What people are saying about us

It was a very nice year and I’m happy with the decision I made. It’s a very comprehensive master’s. The faculty… Everything you learn in the curriculum gives you a great perspective on what it’s like to work in the world of screenwriting. The network we’ve formed with our classmates is very important because they are the ones you can write with in the future.

CELIA GONZÁLEZ

Student of the 2nd edition

When I finished The Mediapro Studio’s Master’s in Screenwriting, I was able to join the company and work on my first series. Since then, I’ve been able to work on different projects not just as a screenwriter, but also as a script analyst, coordinator for The Mediapro Studio Labs and transmedia writer with the innovation team. All of that has given me a general overview of what the audiovisual sector is like that I would not have had otherwise.

ELISA LUCÍA JAREÑO

Student in the 1st edition

The Mediapro master’s guides you through the entire writing process. You learn to look for ideas, shape them and be able to share them with others. It also has a very practical focus. Knowing how the industry works helps you establish yourself as a screenwriter and audiovisual professional. Deciding to enroll marked a major turning point in my life. Thanks to the internship, I was able to get a job. I really couldn’t be happier

SERGIO DOBLAS

Student in the 3rd edition and film development department staff at The Mediapro Studio

Besides the faculty, I chose the master’s because of its direct relationship with the industry and possible career opportunities. I want to write scripts that will be filmed and, to do that, I have to know the dynamics and inner workings of the industry. So far, it’s been a very enriching experience and has allowed me to meet people from different disciplines and contexts that are united by the same passion for telling stories

ALEJANDRO LOAYZA

Student in the 3rd edition and Sundance 2022 winner

The market isn’t just looking for content. The market is looking for ‘a perspective’. The creator’s perspective. That perspective can’t be switched on or taught, but it can be developed. That’s the real purpose of a master’s like the one through The Mediapro Studio: finding your own perspective.

IVÁN ESCOBAR

Consultant and faculty for the master’s and screenwriter for Locked Up and Express

Writing is a continuous learning process. This master’s offers the perfect tools for future screenwriters to hone their talent and shine. You can’t reach the finish line without leaving the starting line.

CARMEN ORTIZ

Advisor and faculty for the master’s and screenwriter

Working with good professors, working on productions firsthand, coming in contact with the industry and getting your name out there. I think The Mediapro Studio’s master’s is an excellent choice.

CARMEN AGUILERA

Director of El Intermedio

We need to strive for a diversity among content creators that has to do with their origins, coming from different walks of life. A master’s like this creates a network to reach talents without which the limits would not have been pushed.”

DANIEL BURMAN

Master’s faculty and content director for The Mediapro Studio US

VERÓNICA MOREJÓN

Student in the 5th edition and screenwriter for 59 segundos

If I hadn’t studied the master’s, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The internship is really useful and, thanks to my internship, I got my foot in the door as a screenwriter. Grup Mediapro opens a lot of doors for you. Having a master’s degree helps you compete with those who have been doing this job for 20 years. There are other master’s programs that I’m sure are very good, but they don’t have these internships, and my internship is what opened the doors of this world for me. The contacts you make in the master’s are your classmates and they’re the ones who will really make life easier for you in this line of work. If you think it’s hard to get started in the sector, a master’s with an internship is something that can really help.

DIEGO LÓPEZ

Student in the 1st edition and screenwriter for El Intermedio
