What people are saying about us

When I finished the Screenwriting Master’s program at The Mediapro Studio, I was able to join the company to work on my first series. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on various projects, not only as a screenwriter, but also as a script analyst, coordinator of The Mediapro Studio Labs, and transmedia writer on the innovation team. All of this is giving me a comprehensive understanding of the audiovisual industry that I couldn’t have gained otherwise.

ELISA LUCÍA JAREÑO

Student in the 1st edition

If I hadn’t done the master’s program, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The internships are incredibly helpful, and thanks to them, I’ve been able to break into the job market as a screenwriter. The Mediapro group opens many doors. Having a master’s degree helps you catch up with those who have been doing this work for 20 years. There are other master’s programs that are probably very good, but they don’t include these internships, and for me, the internships are what opened doors to this world. The contacts you make in the master’s program are your fellow students, and they’re the ones who will truly make your life easier in this job. If you think it’s difficult to break into this industry, a master’s program with an internship can be a huge help.

DIEGO LÓPEZ

Student in the 1st edition and screenwriter for El Intermedio

It was a very nice year and I’m happy with the decision I made. It’s a very comprehensive master’s. The faculty… Everything you learn in the curriculum gives you a great perspective on what it’s like to work in the world of screenwriting. The network we’ve formed with our classmates is very important because they are the ones you can write with in the future.

CELIA GONZÁLEZ

Student of the 2nd edition

SERGIO DOBLAS

Student in the 3rd edition and film development department staff at The Mediapro Studio

Besides the faculty, I chose the master’s because of its direct relationship with the industry and possible career opportunities. I want to write scripts that will be filmed and, to do that, I have to know the dynamics and inner workings of the industry. So far, it’s been a very enriching experience and has allowed me to meet people from different disciplines and contexts that are united by the same passion for telling stories

VERÓNICA MOREJÓN

Student of the 5th edition

In this Master’s program, I was looking for the opportunity to work on professional screenwriting teams. I started with an internship and then expanded my experience on the TVE series Barrio Esperanza. I believe that being part of a screenwriting team like this is the best way to learn the craft.

AURORA PARRILLA

Student of the 6th edition in Madrid

The Master’s program not only provided me with the necessary tools to train as a screenwriter and understand the factors that drive the audiovisual industry, but it also opened the door for me to enter the sector. After completing my internship, I was hired to work on Mediapro productions for TVE, Telemadrid, and Atresmedia.

Arnau Sánchez Fita

Student of the 6th edition

For me, the Screenwriting Master’s program has been a true journey. It has not only opened doors to the profession but has also given me the opportunity to work as part of a team with my classmates and explore multiple audiovisual formats. Now, when I feel lost or stuck on a project, I turn to the advice and teachings of the great professionals who have taught in the program, such as Eduard Solà and Clara Roquet. I’m leaving this master’s program more eager than ever to keep writing and with a team of screenwriter friends to lean on and admire, both professionally and personally.

ASHLING OCAMPO

Estudiante de la 2ª edición de Barcelona

This master’s program allowed me to train as a screenwriter at 50 and change careers after almost three decades in journalism. Today I can say I’m a professional screenwriter, something I would have hardly achieved without this program. I’ve begun a new chapter in my life and career, with new challenges and the feeling that I made the right decision. Beyond the technical training, the program has been a life-changing experience. Sharing the process with classmates from very different backgrounds and working with professors with solid track records has allowed me to understand how the industry works from the inside and what’s expected of a screenwriter on a daily basis.
