The trailer of ‘SU MAJESTAD’ now available and set to premiere on Prime Video on February 27th

Anna Castillo and Ernesto Alterio head the cast, which includes Pablo Derqui, Ramón Barea, Ana María Vidal, Lucía Díez and Freddie Dennis, among others.

SU MAJESTAD’ is created by Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José and co-written with José Antonio Pérez Ledo. Cobeaga is also in charge of the direction together with Ginesta Guinda.

Prime Video has announced that it will premiere on February 27th the original series ‘SU MAJESTAD’, a satirical comedy created by Borja Cobeaga(Superlópez, Ocho apellidos vascos, Pagafantas) and Diego San José(Celeste Vota Juan, Ocho apellidos vascos); and starred by Anna Castillo y Ernesto Alterio. ‘SU MAJESTAD’, produced by 100 Balas (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) and Sayaka Producciones, will premiere in 2025 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide as part of the Prime subscription.

“HIS MAJESTY” stars Anna Castillo(Nowhere, La Llamada, El Olivo) in the role of Princess Pilar and Ernesto Alterio(Perfectos desconocidos, Un mundo normal, Narcos) as Guillermo, the Princess’ secretary. The cast is completed by Pablo Derqui (The Crooked Lines of God, Honeymoon, The Invisible Line) as King Alfonso XIV; Ramón Barea (Historias para no dormir, Todos lo saben, Cinco lobitos), who will play the Head of the Royal Household; Ana María Vidal, (Los Artistas, primeros trazos”, “El último invierno”, Los misterios de Laura”), in the role of Guillermo’s mother; Lucía Díez, (Un hípster en la España vacía, El Cid, La otra mirada), who will play Camino, Princess Pilar’s best friend; Pablo Vázquez (Galgos, A Thousand Miles from Christmas, Vis a vis: The Oasis), as Head of Security and Freddie Dennis (Queen Charlotte: A Brigerton Story, The Nevers, Une amitiédangereuse) who will play a former love of the Princess, among others.

Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José are the creators of the series, who form the script team together with writer and screenwriter José Antonio Pérez Ledo(Órbita Laika, Ovejas eléctricas, Caminantes). Filmmaker Ginesta Guindal (“Élite”, “Vida Perfecta”, “El Vecino”) is co-director with Cobeaga. Executive Producers include Laura Fdez. Espeso, Alejandro Flórez, Javier Méndez and Diego San José of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO, and Nahikari Ipiña and Borja Cobeaga of Sayaka Producciones.

The teaser poster features Princess Pilar (Anna Castillo) in her royal portrait, inspired by Velázquez’s royal portraits on horseback from the Prado Museum. The protagonist wears a haute couture design composed of a Christian Dior skirt signed by Ginfranco Ferré, an iconic body in vintage mesh fabric by Gianni Versace and a metallic belt by Fendi, which fits perfectly with the armor that completes the look. It also has an exquisite selection of jewelry chosen especially for this portrait and that have been loaned by the Museo del Traje, some of them belonging to Queen Victoria Eugenia of Battemberg in 1923.

SYNOPSIS: Spain, year 2024. Pilar is a young Princess and future Queen of Spain who, suddenly and hastily, is forced to remain at the head of the institution after a scandal that spills over her father King Alfonso XIV and takes him away from the public front line for a few months. Pilar must prove to the country that she is not the irresponsible, insolent, lazy and useless woman that everyone thinks she is. What happens is that they may be right.
